Alex Cigale's poems have appeared in many publications including Drunken Boat and McSweeney’s, and his translations from the Russian can be found in publications such as Modern Poetry in Translation and PEN America. Until recently, he was Assistant Professor at the American University of Central Asia in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
