Zosimo Quibilan, Jr. won the Philippine National Book Award for Short Story and the Madrigal-Gonzalez Best First Book Award for "Pagluwas" (Going to the City, University of the Philippines Press in 2006). He read his poems at the 4th Annual Mixed Roots Literary and Film Festival held in LA. His stories and poems have appeared in many literary publications. He lives in South Pasadena, CA and occasionally gives talks on Filipino literature and language at the UCLA.
