Geraldine Maxwell was born in 1967 in London. She first began writing while living in Massachusetts where her husband Glyn was teaching at Amherst College, and has had work published under the pen name Alice Jerome. In the past she has worked for Interview magazine, helped set up the arts magazine Lovely Jobly in Lambeth and has worked for Friends of the Earth and the Gaia Foundation, and recently on the 10/10 campaign in London. She is also a poet and painter, and is a governor of the Poetry Society of America.
