Elisa Albo was born in Havana and grew up in Lakeland, Florida. She received an MFA from Florida International University, where she won several Academy of American Poets graduate awards. Her poetry has appeared most recently in MiPOesias, Alimentum, The Potomac Journal, and Tigertail: A South Florida Annual. A chapbook, Passage to America, was published by March Street Press. She teaches English, ESL, and creative writing at Broward College and lives in Ft. Lauderdale with her husband and daughters. |
