L.E. Scott is an African American jazz poet/writer and world traveller who is now based in Wellington, New Zealand (he became a New Zealand citizen in 1994). Scott's work is underpinned by the sounds and cadences of the Black Church. He has had more than 15 books of poetry and prose published and his work has also appeared in magazines, literary journals and anthologies in New Zealand and around the world.
