Nausheen Ahmad is a Pakistani educationist, translator and poet, currently residing in Lahore, Pakistan. She has translated works into English by leading modern and contemporary Pakistani poets, including Muhammad Iqbal, Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Parveen Shakir. She has also published her own poems in magazines and edited several year books published by schools in Pakistan. She is currently working as a coordinator at the Learning Alliance in Lahore. Being married to Toheed Ahmad, a career diplomat, she has been active in diplomatic and Pakistani communities around the world. For example, following the earthquake in Pakistan in October 2005, when she was resident in Ireland, she organized a large and successful fund-raising event in Dublin to raise money for relief of victims in the Kashmir
