Dr. Wilson Orhiunu was born in Islington, London, England in 1964. He was educated in Lagos and obtained his degree in medicine from the University of Benin, Nigeria. In 1989, he moved back to England, where he further trained in general surgery and general practice. He currently resides in Birmingham, UK, where he works as a General Practitioner. Wilson Orhiunu (aka Babawilly) is also an author and an expert on Nigerian Pidgin English. He has published the widely acclaimed Pidgin English translation of Psalm 23 (http://babawilly.blogspot.com/2007/08/pidgin-version-of-psalm-23.html), and he has compiled the first web-based Nigerian Pidgin English Dictionary (http://babawillyentertainment.com/d.html ). Dr. Orhiunu’s books in Nigerian Pidgin include: My Time (2005) and Love Letters, a romantic comedy (July 2009). He has also published poems and short stories, and is keenly involved in dance and song composition, and marathon running for charity.
