James Norcliffe has published six collections of poetry, most recently Villon in Millerton (AUP) in 2007. He is poetry editor for the Christchurch Press and has been poetry editor for Takahe. He has also published a collection of short stories and number of fantasy novels for young readers, most recently the award-winning The Loblolly Boy published in 2011 in the US as The Boy Who Could Fly (Egmont USA). Recent work has appeared in The Literary Review, The Cincinnati Review, The Iowa Review and Gargoyle. Last year he took part in the XX International Poetry Festival in Medellin, Colombia and has been invited to this year's Trois Rivières International Poetry Festival in Quebec.
