Daniel Albright was born in Chicago in 1945. He completed his undergraduate studies on a full scholarship at Rice and later received his PhD from Yale University. He is the Editor of Modernism and Music: An Anthology of Sources (2004) and has published many books including Quantum Poetics: Yeats, Eliot and the Science of Modernism (1997), Untwisting the Serpent: Music, Literature and the Visual Arts (2000) and Beckett and Aesthetics (2003). He is currently the Ernest Bernbaum Professor of Literature at Harvard University.
