Kristina Cordero, born and raised in New York, is a journalist and translator of novels and nonfiction books. Having translated some of the best known authors writing in Spanish today, including Carlos Fuentes and Javier Marias, she is presently working on a new translation of the work of 16th century mystic nun Teresa of Avila. As a journalist, she writes travel, culture, and style articles for magazines in South America and Spain, and she is a frequent contributor and commentator on the BBC radio show "Culture Shock."
