Pauline’s poems, alternately funny and poignant, beautifully reflect the preoccupations of women. They cover birth, death and everything in between, including the mysterious relationship between men and crumbs.
The most recent of her five collections are Holding Close (2010) and Ironing with Sue Lawley (2005) both published by Spike Press. Her pamphlet North Uist Sea Poems won the 2006 Callum Macdonald Award for Pamphlet Poetry in Scotland.
Her poems have been broadcast frequently on Radio 4 and on Channel 4 and Central Television and have been anthologised by The Scottish Poetry Library, Second Light, and Two Ravens Press.
Pauline now lives on the island of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides, where she organises poetry events and runs a creative writing group. She is the island’s poet partner for the Scottish Poetry Library. |
