Sonja Yelich is the author of two collections of poetry. Her first collection, Clung (Auckland University Press) won the Jessie McKay Award for Best First Book in 2005. Her second collection, get some, was a finalist in the 2008 NZ Montana Book Awards.She was one of two recipients of the Buddle Findlay Sargeson Fellowship in 2010.
