Hadaa Sendoo is a distinguished Mongolian poet who lives in Ulan Bator, where he works as Professor of Literature at the Mongolian National University. A poet and translator of international renown, his poems have been translated into more than 20 languages. He has received many distinctions, including: the Poet of the Millennium award, the Best Poet prize, the Literature Achievement award, and the Poetry Merit award. In 2006, he founded the groundbreaking World Poetry Almanac, which he continues to edit. In 2008 he was recipient of the Giants of Creativity award, and in 2009, of the Mongolian Writers’ Union Prize.
