Unn Printz-Påhlson is a writer, editor and translator. She has specialised in comics, but has also translated poems, plays and films. Having spent her childhood in Sweden and the USA, and then moving to the UK at the age of nine, Unn is bilingual.
After school, she studied interior design in London at art school. She had always wanted a career as a designer, but she got bitten by the comics bug, first as a child due to her father Göran Printz-Påhlson’s love of comics and other popular culture. Then – after having moved back to Sweden in her twenties, she met her husband-to-be. He was already an established comics writer and editor, and in no time he lured Unn into the magical world of so-called “funny animals”.
Since the early eighties, Unn has written hundreds of comic scripts and has also worked extensively as a comics editor. She retired in 2019, and now spends her time writing and editing comics on a freelance basis.
