Gerry Loose lives in Glasgow. His publications include The Elementary Particles, a measure, Tongues of Stone, Eitgal and Mouth of Silence, a play for Birds of Paradise Theatre Company which premiered at Tramway, Glasgow in June 2006. He is currently engaged on a project to write and respond to the geology, history, birds, plants, folklore and language of Sunart Oakwoods in Ardnamurchan (West of Scotland) for which he received a Creative Scotland award from the Scottish Arts Council.
