Ruth Halkon is a journalist and graduate of the University of Cambridge and City University London, where she gained an MA in journalism. She currently works for the Mirror Online, where she covers news ranging from terrorist attacks to drunk hedgehogs. She has previously worked for National News, a press agency covering London’s courts and crime scenes. She has also freelanced for the Metro and the Press Association, as well as having stories published in national newspapers including the Independent on Sunday and The Telegraph. Previously she worked as a reporter for the North London Times and Independent Series, covering local news from five London boroughs. Born in Hull in 1989 she now lives in London.
