Lara Alcantara-Lansberg was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She lived in Paris from 1997 until 1998, where she learned French and discovered her passions for theater and photography. She then moved to NY to start her BA in Photography and Theater at BARD College and later transferred to NYU, where she graduated with a major in Photography and a minor in Theater. She did her MFA at BARD College/ICP photographic studies program. Lara lived in Los Angeles where she studied with Milton Katselas and Mancini at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. She now lives and works in New York City.
With regard to her acting career, in 2015 Lara Alcantara-Lansberg had a featured role for a show on HBO in 2015 and also a lead role for the Travel Channel as Rose Dugdale. Furthermore, she has made 12 short films, two features and two web series, with titles including: La Sangre en Nuestras Venas, which is now entering its 8th film festival, Sisters, The Flower and the Monster, Vamp Bikers and First Dates. She works freelance with various social media channels on entertainment events and fashion in New York City.
Lara Alcantara-Lansberg currently teaches studio art at The Lycee Francais in New York.
