Susan Rogers is a practitioner of Sukyo Mahikari—a spiritual practice promoting positivity. Her poetry has been published in numerous anthologies and journals including Altadena Poetry Review, California Quarterly, Carrying the Branch: Poets in Search of Peace, Kyoto Journal, Light on Light Magazine, Meditations on Divine Names: Anthology of Contemporary Poetry, Pirene’s Fountain, Saint Julian’s Press, San Diego Poetry Annual: The Best Poems of San Diego, and Tiferet. You can hear her poem “The Origin is One” on YouTube. She was interviewed on KPFK by Lois P. Jones and nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2013 and 2017. She is co-editor of the 2020 haiku anthology A Sonic Boom of Stars, and was one of the four international judges for the 8th Rabindranath Tagore Award.
