Bill Mohr teaches 20th century American Literature and creative writing at California State University, Long Beach. His most recent collections of poetry include The Headwaters of Nirvana (What Books, 2018) and Pruebas Ocultas (Bonobos Editores, 2015). His poems have been translated into Spanish, Croatian, Italian, and Japanese. His literary history, Holdouts: The L.A. Poetry Renaissance 1948-1992, was published by the University of Iowa Press in 2011. In addition to a visiting scholar award at the Getty Research Institute, his honors include the acquisition of his editorial archives by UCSD’s Geisel Library and the George Drury Smith Award from Beyond Baroque.
