Sonnet

Can I be sure time will stop for me
in the blaring release from a root
killed by oxygen?  Obviously, yes:
one hand claps the asymptote to death
and the echo tunnels to a complex place

Adam fingered God in the ceiling rose
taking the whole for what it will be: brain
in anal lysis feeding the backed-up flux
at the storm drain to imaginary time

I shot my biopic to biofilm:
the p-brane sweeps a volume out; the worst
stain you can leave is still machine-washable
— o dry word work take up my reference
and go, this close to being the life.

from the French of Stéphane Mallarmé

The little boat without oars
sleeps by the post that shackles it —
on the water we are not as yet
reflected to raise the keepnet

the river with no other emotion
than blue daybreak idly
flows from Valvins to Samois
frigid beneath the caress

this sudden movement similar
to shaking off with a shoulder
the dark cargo of sleep
that all alone might test the willow

is Paul Nadar upright and green
casting the net wide open.

from Sourdough Mutation

a code
retched

bodily
go blooded

orphan
go lily

oilskin
sheet

beer dung
solero

in a moment
for life

modernity
no flight

pattern
embossed

costive
immortal toil

tibetan jet
light black

heart sick
promoters

bee-stung
axe

oregon wood
cumulative

cool
weakening

off drystone
shine

days are froth
stirred by frog

legs come
inside love

my scum
is setting

a thread in drum stakes
cased the joint account

token encrypted diptych
in kit form owes

a camphor incus
inclusive sieve for fits

do something
winsome

emoting
to me

emissary Kong-tone
not gemlike

kill image agents
negative I’ve

the widow Hogan
downplayed

on film

till death erase all ties
shallow me

me allowed to wail
hello meal

wedded to mallow
etherised all desire

rake-like father hands
write with a feather

featureless theft rites
the battle half

of the alphabet
to the fabled

bleeding birch

fallible alibi
fall loyal yellow owl

flutter lies bleeding linseed oil
allied to dealing speed

deep sorrow maniac worries
can I amass

more of these

jelly tot
sortilege

totally
regressed

germolene animals
slammed in a kennel

mechanical molar sheen
needs you to die

lacking one chemical
o comedic tic

my kit-form
germ line

marred epaulettes
telescopic dream sex

smeared kapok mark
the karmic pokemon

economy
o no my key

stage one
ageist ghosting

bitten off less
phoney self

fleshy shellfish
shy on a shelf

I feel
life

ish

spiral putt
breath token

acetone dough
deflate us

subtly fed
fly bottles

bottomless
om

let ketosis
be my

kenosis

self-transforming
machine elves

delivered adrenal cortex shots
to evident shaved xerox Scots

you blot the rocks
we’re buying

yang furniture you rang

out an intended line

deadline for one in ten

it used to being
emptied gripes

there is nothing
to think but of it

aphorist fog hat

a fat forest hog

codebase bebop
an epoch defaced mark

tactile pocket kettle
elected trick

skirt rickets to go
stowaway yaws

sway hams this way
as this may

dismay

whispering pismire
ribs in grass

ingress of resolve
you shun

honey
you know
